Hon. Gagan Thapa, General Secretary, Nepali Congress

Gagan Kumar Thapa is a prominent Nepali politician and the current General Secretary of the Nepali Congress. He has served as a Member of Parliament in Nepal’s House of Representatives since 2008, representing Kathmandu. Thapa is also a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Health. He was the Minister of Health and Population from 2016 to 2017. His political journey began in 2008 when he was elected to the First Constitutional Assembly. Over the years, he has remained a key figure within the Nepali Congress, winning elections in 2013, 2017, and 2022 from Kathmandu-4.
